Magnitude 6.5 quake hits off Peru coast-USGS |

WASHINGTON, Oct 20, 2006- A 6.5-magnitude earthquake hit off the coast of central Peru on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The quake struck at 5:49 a.m. (1049 GMT) about 95 miles (155 km) south-southeast of Lima, the USGS said.
