Mikati to form a government of technocrats and politicians PDF

After two days of consultations with the various parliamentary blocs, Mikati told reporters that there are two opposing views. And "Our role here is to reconcile the two views". Adding that there is "more common ground than points of disagreement," and could could reach a solution through dialogue.

Mikati also added that Hariri's demands are "not impossible to meet," and stressed that he is seeking to form a government including of the various political parties.

Mikati stressed that the government would be either made exclusively of technocrats, or a mix between technocrats and politicians.

Sources also ruled out the possibility of Miqati forming an expanded 30-member government, saying the business tycoon prefers to work with small groups.

AFP reported that an official close to Miqati said "it is now clear that Hariri's coalition does not want to join the government."
